Fun Boudoir Photo Sessions

Posted by Pam in December 20, 2011

The Valentine’s Day rush was here and gone, but it is still not too late to do a boudoir photo session for your special guy – maybe for a birthday gift, anniversary gift, or just “because”! Guys really like getting pictures like these from their sweetie, so hey! give it a thought! It’s a time to pamper yourself  getting ready and then to look really sexy in your makeup and your carefully chosen outfits.

I like to have a get to know you consultation for about an hour prior to your appointment so that we can get to know one another, talk about your ideas, what you would like and if you have your outfits with you, we can look them over and brainstorm your session.

I am offering two different hour long sessions:

1) In the bedroom,

2) In the bathroom, or…..

3) In the bedroom and In the Bathroom (2 hours),

and an add-on of a military theme (15 minutes). The above kitchen scene cam be done at no additional fee to any session. All one hour sessions are $30 and the two hour session is $60. To include an add-on of a military theme is $10. All hour long sessions can accommodate two outfit changes and up to four outfit changes for the two hour session. All images will be posted online in a password protected folder approximately within one week following the shoot.  Taking the time  to pick out just the right outfits and heels for the look you want and  spending time on your hair and make-up is essential to a successful photo shoot. I will give you a print out the day of our consultation giving you lots of hints to have a really successful session. At the time of the consultation, I will ask for a $10 deposit to hold your spot on my calendar.

Homecomings

Homecomings are always so wonderful when the spouses return home to their families.  Always a truly happy occasion for everyone.  And, an emotional one, too.  This past week, the Pt. Mugu Blackhawks returned off the USS Ronald Reagan to their families.  This was a great time for me, because I had done 3 photo sessions for these families while Dad was gone, one of the 3 was a predeployment session – and just before he left she found out she was pregnant and he was able to return a couple weeks early since her due date is very soon! They will be expecting a baby boy. Congratulations to the Nobles! So, with this homecoming, I was the photographer for the Froberg’s – a set of twins and a little older daughter, all happy to see daddy return. It just so happened the day he returned home was also his birthday!

Dad was getting ready to deploy out again and so we got together quickly for a quick photo shoot before he left. The kids were really going to miss him. This session was really important to mom and the daughter and she is ready to do it all over again! Iguess I didn’t wear them down enough the first time!!

Lindberg Family Predeployment Session

Posted by Pam in August 16, 2011

This family had been vacationing at Disneyland and then finished up in Ventura. They presently are stationed at Fort Bliss, Texas and Dad will be deploying out sometime in September. They gave me a call several weeks before coming to see if I was available to do a predeployment session before Dad left. They were a great family with all these cute little blonde, blue-eyed kids!  The kids were great and I’m sure I wore them all out.

Christmas Photo Sessions

Now is the time to be thinking about signing up for your Christmas Family and/or children photo shoot. I need to know early if any of you are interested so that I can cook up something really nice for a backdrop.  The session fee will be $25 for 30 minutes (then choose what you want to purchase) or the following Holiday Session:

Holiday Session and what’s included:
* Up to 1 hour session for up to 5 people
* 5 fully edited images on a CD  (your choice)
* Online proofing gallery for viewing and ordering
* 1 – 8×10 or 2 5×7′s

You can have your choice of a Christmas decorated outdoor location or decorated indoor location. I know this may seem really early to be thinking about this, but before you know it, Christmas will be here and you won’t have your name on the list. I will only be photographing the decorated “indoor sets” during the second week of November – orders will need to be into the lab as quickly as possible! If you are interested in only an outdoor location, no decoration – a park, beach or better yet – The Old Paramount Ranch up in Agoura Hills, give me a call so I can get you on my books for September or October.  You can still dress with a Christmas theme for these locations.

Woo Hoo!  Two more guys came home safe and sound – of course there were hundreds more on that plane that came home, plus I heard another plane a couple hours later was expected! It was a crazy afternoon with the homecoming times changing by the minute – originally they were to be home later that evening, then the times moved back to earlier in the afternoon. The last message I got, I picked up my gear and flew out the door for the base! As it turned out, I covered two different wives whose hubby’s came home.  It was a happy reunion and now all is happy on the home front!

The Elias family was one that I photographed this past week that dad was already gone. What can I say – another  great family and again, so much love going on.  I’m sure dad is really missing his family.  Photographing all these predeployment and already gone sessions are just so much fun and I think they all enjoy them, too, because they are just relaxed posing or just sometimes I catch the kids on the go! I go home with a smile on my face and I know the kids probably fell asleep on their way home!

It’s been a door swinging in the breeze with all the Operation: Love Reunited sessions that I have had the last few weeks.  Trying to get these families photographed before dad leaves for a tour in Afghanistan.  All really great families, with the Zetino family being one of those.  I feel truly blessed to have had the opportunity to have met them all.  I know that they will all miss dad a lot and I see so much love in all these families that I wish I could bottle it and pass it around to families that are “out” of love.

I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to meet the military families that I do, being affiliated with Operation: Love Reunited.  Once again, I had a really wonderful family.  He is in the Marines and leaving for Afghanistan this coming Tuesday for 8 months. He has a truly beautiful family and they were all such a joy to be around yesterday.  The kids were like EverReady Batteries – they just kept on going!!
